The new BMW CE 02, which is neither an e-scooter nor an e-motorcycle, is the urban eParkourer.BMW Motorrad presents another e-vehicle for urban conurbations, the BMW CE 02, roughly two years after the CE 04, and thus continues to pursue its electric mobility strategy.

The eParkourer is a dynamic companion for a new type of mobility and offers great cycling enjoyment in urban environments due to its electric propulsion, forward-thinking design, and innovative solutions.

A design with innovative proportions and ample area for customization. The new BMW CE 02 represents an innovative entry point to BMW Motorrad. It is electric, appeals to young people in particular, and is neither an e-motorcycle nor an e-scooter. It's an electronic parkourer. Designed for the metropolis and urban setting. Design that is nimble, functional, robust, and pared down to the essentials.

Large wheels satisfy the need for sturdiness and provide cycling enjoyment on a variety of terrains. Black as the base colour for the frame, wheels, front mudguard, and triple clamp fairing at the top, and granite grey metallic matt for the engine cover, offer an equally thrilling contrast to the juxtaposition of matte and glossy surfaces.

The new CE 02 takes on an outgoing and vibrant appearance in its HIGHLINE variant. Even when standing still, the CE 02's gold-anodized forks and tape design combined with Petrol as a contrasting hue make it appear dynamic and forward-thinking.

Strong propulsion, light weight, and a practice-oriented range. Two variations on performance.16-year-old riders can operate the new CE 02 with a maximal capacity of 11 kW (15 hp). In a 4 kW (5 hp) (rated power 3.2 kW (4 hp)) version limited to 45 km/h, the new CE 02 also satisfies the requirements of the AM driving licence class and can be ridden in Germany, for instance, by motorcyclists with a car licence as young as 15 years old. There are also additional country-specific regulations.

The 11 kW version of the new CE 02 can accelerate rapidly at traffic signals and offers a dynamic cycling experience thanks to its potent drivetrain. With a maximum speed of 95 km/h, travel on motorways is swift, and a range of more than 90 km (11 kW version according to WMTC) enables prolonged urban excursions. In addition to its light weight of only 132 kg (11 kW version) or 119 kg (4 kW version) and low seat height of only 750 mm, the new CE 02 is also distinguished by its agile handling.

Two cycling modes "Flow" and "Surf" are standard equipment, while "Flash" is optional equipment and a genuine BMW Motorrad accessory.Standard on the new CE 02 are the "Flow" and "Surf" cycling modes. "Flow" provides the optimal setup for cruising through city traffic, whereas "Surf" provides a dynamic cycling experience outside of the city. The "Flash" driving mode is also available as a sporting and dynamic HIGHLINE option and as a genuine BMW Motorrad accessory.

Quick charger as standard equipment and external charger as optional equipment and Original BMW Motorrad accessory.Standard on the new BMW CE 02 is an external charger with a charging capacity of 0.9 kW, which facilitates fast and convenient charging at standard domestic outlets. Quick chargers with 1.5 kW charging capacity are available as optional equipment in the HIGHLINE package and as Original BMW Motorrad accessories (only 11 kW variant).

Double-loop tube frame chassis with telescopic suspension, single-sided swingarm, and cast light alloy wheels.Regarding the chassis, the new BMW CE 02 is equipped with a torsionally rigid double-loop tubular steel frame. Front suspension consists of hydraulically damped telescopic arms, while the rear suspension consists of a single-sided swingarm and a directly pivoting shock absorber. Wide tyres are mounted on cast light alloy wheels with disc wheel design, and front and rear disc brakes assure safe deceleration. Frontal BMW Motorrad ABS is featured.

TFT display, USB-C connector for charging, and connectivity options.A simple-to-read TFT display in the cockpit provides the rider with information on speed, battery charge, and more. A USB-C charging port can also provide electricity to a mobile device. Using the BMW Motorrad Connected app, your smartphone displays the estimated end of charging via Bluetooth, just as the BMW CE 04 does.

The HIGHLINE model's cradle mode enables the BMW Motorrad app on a smartphone (held in a smartphone holder) to be securely manipulated as a supplementary display via the handlebar's keypad. Additionally, you can chronicle your travels using the app. With BMW Motorrad Connected Services, which is also included in the HIGHLINE programme, the charging status and other CE 02 vehicle information can be viewed via the app at any time and from anywhere.

The key features of the new BMW CE 02 are:

  • The maximum power is 11 kW (15 hp), the rated power is 6 kW (8 hp), and the torque is 55 Nm.
