Six Senses Launches Vana, a Unique Wellness Resort in the Himalayan Foothills

Six Senses has just opened its first wellness resort amid the foothills of the Himalayas in India. In June 2022, the wellness- and sustainability-focused hotel company was appointed to run Six Senses Vana.

Vana is a 21-acre health resort in Dehradun that was established in 2014 by Veer Singh Ji. It is surrounded by clusters of Sal woodland and has its own mango and lychee plantations.

Six Senses Vana, which was named after the sal woodland, wants to safeguard and nurture.

Ayurveda, Yoga, Tibetan Medicine, and Natural Healing Therapies are combined with a full programme of daily activities and individualised assistance. The retreat is filled with nourishing cuisine, including an Ayurvedic speciality restaurant; treatments, such as acupuncture, reflexology, and natural alignment; and a kind-hearted staff. Unlike everywhere else, the magic is in how these aspects are combined to provide the most benefit to guests, depending on their present condition of mind and body and personal objectives for the stay.

Every visit includes accommodations with full board and individualised diet, daily retreat activities, wellness assessment and screening, and even clothes.

At the Alchemy Bar, guests will have the opportunity to create their own spa items based on their dosha type. Additionally, the bar will provide healthful beverages, shrubs, and tonics. In addition to a sustainable fashion and spa items lifestyle concept shop, there will also be a Cinema Paradiso and courts for different ball activities. With Grow With Six Senses, there will also be activities for children aged six and older to learn and grow.

There is also the possibility to customise the itinerary by selecting a programme based on a particular wellness goal, including tests and professional guidance:
Sleep: Monitoring a guest's sleep habits and assisting them in resetting via treatments and therapies.

Detox: With a customised diet plan, Ayurvedic treatments, therapies to decrease the fight-or-flight response, and digital detox, energy levels will be reset, resulting in a renewed sense of clarity.

Ayurveda: Doctors and therapists provide treatments to correct imbalances in the body's doshas.Six Senses of Tibetan Medicine Vana is one of the few locations in the world where Sowa Rigpa is presented officially in its full form.Guests will be able to experience multisensory therapies while floating in the Watsu pool or meditating to Raag therapy, where the soothing melodies of the flute evoke pleasant emotions.

Weight management: A reset of the mind that assists visitors in achieving progressive weight reduction or growth via exercise activities, stimulating body treatments, meditation, biohacking, and a customised eating plan.

Yoga: Private sessions, guided meditation, and breathwork with distinctive massages and energy treatments for beginners and advanced students in the homeland of mantras, taught by a team of exceptional teachers.

Six Senses Signature Experiences

Close to Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga, and north of Dehradun on the approach to the Himalayas, Vana has been a haven for rebalancing, healing, and education for visitors since it opened in January 2014. Under the Six Senses moniker, the original objective and the current staff have remained mostly identical. Additionally, Veer Singh Ji maintains ownership of Six Senses. His interest in and reverence for sustainable agriculture, traditional knowledge, and ecology will continue to be fostered.

What has changed is the brand's aim to deepen and enrich its present offering, complement it with distinctive experiences it has successfully tested throughout the globe, and expand its worldwide audience. In addition to the programmes listed above, clients may get creative at the Alchemy Bar to create their own spa items based on their dosha type.

Grow With Six Senses will include, for the first time, activities for children aged six and older to learn and grow. Through art, music, movement, storytelling, and newly constructed interactive spaces, this programme will provide learning opportunities to assist youngsters navigate and draw meaning from their natural environment after its introduction in 2023.

As a place for social interaction and meeting, the bar will provide nutritious beverages, shrubs, and tonics. In addition to a sustainable fashion and spa items lifestyle concept shop, there will also be a Cinema Paradiso and courts for different ball activities. Arts, music, exhibits, and performances will also be included in the program's extensive cultural offerings.

As the New Year 2023 starts, Six Senses Vana anticipates welcome visitors with optimism, enthusiasm, and the same warmth and compassion they have always appreciated. Whether visitors come alone or with friends or family, the community eating concept in Salana and the many daily group activities, such as walks and excursions, create significant interactions with a whole new family.
