Kempinski Hotels Adds Two New Swiss Hotels to its Portfolio

Two new extraordinary hotels are going to be added to the wonderful portfolio of the Kempinski Hotels. The first being the first five-star luxury hotel in Engelberg, Kempinski Palace Engelberg – Titlis Swiss Alps. Titlis Swiss Alps is near to completion and will open its doors to guest in spring 2021.

The two hotels on Frutt in Melchsee-Frutt will benefit from the excellent International management know-how and the wide distribution of Kempinski Hotels and be managed from the coming winter season by Kempinski. The elegant palace hotel has an interesting history and it lives up to the brand promise for the highest product and service quality that is provided by other Kempinski Hotels such as Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. This new acquisition will act as a jewel to their portfolio.

The guests can look forward to 129 elegant rooms and suites made of high-quality materials, an exceptional range of gastronomy and a spa and wellness area with an infinity pool on 880 sq m on the top floor of the luxury hotel with a panoramic view over Engelberg. Even historical features which date back to 1904, are yet found in the former building which was preserved in close cooperation with the monument conservation authorities.

With its special flair, the historic Kursaal, for example, has been integrated functionally and architecturally into the building ensemble which will act as another attraction point for Engelberg tourist region. The lively destination is easily and conveniently accessible by car or train or via Zurich airport, both in summer and winter.

The second hotels are no less impressive. They are located in the middle of Central Switzerland, close to Lucerne. Since 2011 ad 2016, guests have been welcomed in the two modern hotel buildings at 2,000 metres directly on Lake Melchsee. The main building is known for its unique spa landscape on 900 sq m and offers 63 rooms, one junior suite and three suites in an authentic lodge ambience, the more family-oriented hotel building impresses with alpine cosiness and features 33 rooms, four junior suites and ten suites. It has various other amenities around it such as a bowling alley, a cinema and a kids’ club. It becomes an ideal surrounding for seminars and banquets with its picturesque landscape and meeting infrastructure. An underground passageway provides a comfortable connection between the hotel buildings.

Both the hotels, the elegant palace and the modern and comfortable mountain hotels go well with the kind of service and quality that Kempinski hotels have to offer to guests all over the world. The team at Kempinski Hotels is confident that they will be able to manage both the deluxe properties and contribute to the success of these attractive Swiss mountain destinations and uplift performance with their global sales and marketing network activities.
