Italian Company Nerea Yacht Will Exhibit The Dazzling NY40 at The Cannes Yachting Festival

Nerea Yacht will display its cutting-edge NY40 boat with a striking green hull, inboard engines with a sterndrive, and a 4-meter-long T-Top during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022 taking place between September 6 and September 11. The vessel's "V" hull was developed by engineer Maurizio Zuccheri to be fully suited to the demands and preferences of owners in terms of layout, materials, finishing, and engine room equipment (Zuccheri Yacht Design). The skilled craftsmanship of Alessio Battistini and Davide Bernardini (IDEAEITALIA) has given her an instantly identifiable appearance.

High-end wood laid in a fishbone design adorns the deck. The huge sundeck at the ship's stern is framed in tubular steel and complemented with a recycled-plastic seamless woven yarn. The sundeck's backrest is movable, and an electronic opening provides access to a wealth of storage space; below, a spacious engine room facilitates maintenance on the ship's many instruments.

Two foldable and expanding teak tables with telescopic steel drums are located in the bow. Fridge, ice maker, trash can, range, and sink are all part of the dining area's kitchen facilities. As an added bonus, the T-Top is built onto the furniture.

There are two unique Nerea chairs in the control centre. Simrad Command, the provider of the on-board electronics, has created a graphical user interface (GUI) with cutting-edge features that blends style, sophistication, and easy operation of all the ship's electronics (lights, anchor, engines, bilge pump, batteries, cooler, etc.). Each feature is easily controlled by the owner through a Simrad® multifunction display.

COSMO, the stern platform with a huge fixed piece and three additional steps that can be adjusted down or up, was also used by Nerea. In addition to serving as a ladder to access the water, it may also be used to access the pier and for diving.

The NY40 can carry ten to twelve passengers and has sleeping space for four persons for several days. Just below the main deck, you'll find a bathroom and two sleeping quarters. A French bed may be installed in the aft cabin, and a dinette with a broadside couch can be used to create 2 sleepers in the bow cabin.

The boat, which debuted at the Cannes Yachting Festival and will be on display at the Genoa Boat Show (from September 22nd to September 27th), is powered by two Yanmar 8LV370Z engines, each with a sterndrive, which together provide exceptional performance and allow the vessel to reach speeds of 35 knots while cruising and 40 knots when going full throttle. The Yanmar engines may be replaced with your choice of two Volvo Penta V6 280hp engines, two D4 engines producing 300hp, two D6 engines producing 380hp, or even a single D6 engine producing 440hp.
