DBS 770 Ultimate is The Most Powerful Aston Martin Ever!!

DBS 770 Ultimate by Aston Martin

January 2023, Gaydon, UK:

Since a long length of time, the DBS designation has been given to some of Aston Martin's most renowned models, and has been associated with cars of exquisite design and explosive performance.

The DBS has been the pinnacle of Aston Martin's series production range since 2018; it is a Twin-Turbo V12 monster with unrivalled performance and design. As production of the current generation of DBS nears conclusion, Aston Martin is excited to announce the DBS 770 Ultimate, a DBS that exceeds all others.

As its name implies, the DBS 770 Ultimate is the last word.

Extensive cosmetic and mechanical enhancements make the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate a remarkable and highly collectible tribute to the marque's flagship Super GT. It is the fastest and most powerful DBS to date and the most powerful production Aston Martin ever. Available as both a Coupe and a Volante, the DBS770 Ultimate will be manufactured in a very limited run of 300 Coupes and 199 Volantes, all of which have already been sold before to release.

Super Powerful Engine

The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is powered by a ferocious 5.2-liter, 60-degree, quad-cam, V12 engine. This outstanding engine now delivers 770PS at 6500rpm and 900Nm of torque from just 1800rpm to 5000rpm, propelling the DBS 770 Ultimate to a top speed of 211mph, as a result of better air and ignition routes and a 7% increase in maximum turbo boost pressure. The precise tuning of the power and torque curves provides the driver the sensation of unrestricted performance, with a thrilling blend of outstanding responsiveness, excellent in-gear acceleration, and the authentic V12 sound.

To transfer power, a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) are located in the rear of the car. In addition, the gearbox calibration of the DBS 770 Ultimate is modified to enhance shift speeds and driver participation, resulting in a completely connected driving experience. The DBS 770 Ultimate utilises the same front 410mm x 38mm and rear 360mm x 32mm discs as the DBS due to the inherent capabilities of Aston Martin's Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system.

To further improve the direct nature of the steering response and increase the level of detailed feedback, DBS 770 Ultimate introduces a new solidly mounted steering column, enabling the driver to enjoy a more precise connection with the road ahead, confidently feel what the front tyres are doing, and accurately gauge available grip.

In order to produce the DBS 770 Ultimate's engaging personality and improved steering feel, the front end lateral stiffness has been raised by 25 percent to give optimal performance feel and response. This was done by strengthening the front cross member and increasing the thickness of the rear undertray, which also enhanced the global torsional stiffness by 3% for perfectly balanced driving characteristics.

The Adaptive Damping System (ADS) has also been upgraded, with the DBS 770 Ultimate now featuring a unique damper calibration and software tune that emphasises control and composure without compromising ride quality. The DBS 770 Ultimate elevates Aston Martin's superb Super GT to even greater heights by enhancing driver engagement and retaining the DBS' distinctive continent-crossing personality.

In the same manner that the exterior of the DBS 770 Ultimate has been upgraded to exhibit an aggressive design and uncompromisingly unique appearance, it is also a limited edition car intended to celebrate the end of an era.

As an Aston Martin, the functionality of this new form was necessary to be precise: To improve thermal management by increasing airflow to the radiators and to enhance the vehicle's road presence. The clamshell bonnet has a horseshoe-shaped engine vent, while the new front splitter has two extra outboard vents to improve airflow through the engine radiators. Together, they enhance cooling and mimic the aesthetic qualities of previous DBS and V12 engine models.

The DBS 770 Ultimate has the 2x2 Twill Carbon Fibre Cantrail, Windscreen Surround, Mirror Caps, and Fender Louvre as standard equipment. A revised carbon fibre sill piece lowers the side profile dramatically towards the back wheel, creating a poised stance that emphasises the DBS's powerful body. A unique rear diffuser design maintains aerodynamic balance from front to back and distinguishes the front and back of the DBS 770 Ultimate.

In addition, the DBS 770 Ultimate has a unique and distinctive 21-inch wheel design with three potential finishes. This new 21st century Aston Martin is inspired by the formidable Aston Martin Valkyrie and Victor "The multi-spoke design is available with a full Satin Silver finish for a bright jewellery look, a full Satin Black finish for a modern and athletic look, or an optional Satin Black with Diamond Turned finish for a darker, yet more refined look. On all wheels, standard high-performance 265/35 R21 front and 305/30 R21 rear Pirelli P Zero tyres are used.

The inside of the DBS 770 Ultimate has a multitude of unique design elements that distinguish it while maintaining the instantly recognisable cabin ambience of the modern DBS. DBS 770 Ultimate includes Sports Plus Seats upholstered in complete semi-aniline leather and Alcantara with a "fluted" patchwork and perforation design, denoting its halo position. The Aston Martin performance seat is also available as an option. The centre armrest has a laser-engraved strap and buckle insignia with the DBS 770 Ultimate logo. Carbon Fiber Gearshift paddles are furthermore included as standard equipment.

The DBS 770 Ultimate is also furnished with a pair of unique sill plaques with the Aston Martin Wings, the DBS 770 Ultimate logo, and Limited-Edition numbers signifying that the vehicle is one of 300 Coupes or 199 Volantes.

As with all Aston Martins, the possibility for really distinctive customization is almost limitless. On the DBS 770 Ultimate, Q by Aston Martin custom options are available, including Q liveries with multiple graphic options, painted wheels to match body or graphic colours, tinted carbon fibre and woven leather seat inserts, trim inlays, and a carbon fibre steering wheel.

Chief Technology Officer of Aston Martin, Roberto Fedeli, said of the DBS 770 Ultimate,

"When a classic model generation is nearing its conclusion of production, it is imperative to do something special to mark the occasion. In the case of the DBS 770 Ultimate, we spared no cost to guarantee that the ultimate version of our current flagship model is the best in every respect. It is not only the fastest and most powerful DBS in our history, but also the most fun to drive, thanks to a comprehensive package of enhancements to the transmission, steering, suspension, and underbody structure."

Chief Creative Officer of Aston Martin, Marek Reichman, says,

"DBS has always represented the pinnacle of Aston Martin's array of production vehicles. And now, we've injected DBS 770 Ultimate with even more power, performance purity, and refinement, taste, and the highest care. Something so primitive and yet so beautiful that it is almost frightening to witness. Through this design strategy, we were able to generate the forms, starting with the aggressive front end, and everything else flows in sync with the performance improvements."

The DBS 770 Ultimate is scheduled to commence production during the first quarter of 2023, with first deliveries commencing during the third quarter of the same year.

DBS Ultimate Lineage
During the Gaydon era of Aston Martin, two V12-powered DBS cars preceded the current model. The term 'Brute In A Suit' was coined to represent the 2018 model's perfect design, robust construction, and astounding power, which became instantly identified with Aston Martin's own brand of Super GT.

It and its predecessor (which was debuted in 2007 and remained in production until 2018) have featured in three James Bond films, with a prototype of the first-generation DBS appearing in Casino Royale (2006) and a production vehicle appearing in Quantum of Solace (2008). The second-generation DBS was featured in the 2021 film No Time To Die, ensuring that Aston Martins bookended Daniel Craig's reign as the world's most famous secret agent.

The Ultimate brand has a rich history. It has featured on two versions of the DBS and two generations of the Vanquish, since it is exclusive to Aston Martin's flagship series production vehicles. Every time a model line goes out of production, a celebration is thrown to mark the end of an era. Due to their rarity and prestige, Ultimate-badged Aston Martins are now among the most costly automobiles available.
