Needle and Thread is another contemporary brand in the fashion market full of brands, but this brand stands apart from others due to its finely detailed handmade embellishments on their ultra feminine women's wear. The brand is led by a woman, Hannah Coffin, who founded the company in 2013 and became the Creative Director and CEO of her label.  Hannah Coffin envisaged to make her own fashion brand in her young age and hence studied Fashion and Textiles. She, also, learned embroidery at a very young age by her grandmother, who taught the kids embroidery to keep them engaged. Hannah believes that her creativity is embedded in her genetics as her grandparents were very creative and artistic. The founder was also inclined towards culture and tradition, and hence her favourite country India, became the centre for production of the goods for the brand. 

Before launching her own fashion line, Hannah worked at Karen Millen as junior designer for three years and learned managing the production, and other mechanisms of production and marketing. She also worked at AllSaints as Design director for a few years and saved up enough money to launch her own label. Hannah, time and again, emphasizes the significance of gaining experience before launching her own label. She believes that owning a brand was like caring for a baby, as it requires energy, patience and perseverance. 

Needle and Thread, was brought to reality when the founder caught a gap in the market for feminine sophisticated attires, which were adequate for dinners, events, or other such occasions at a reasonable price tag. The girly glam dresses were what she wanted for herself and hence produced them herself with a reasonable price for every woman. Hannah, admittedly loves Indian culture and artisans there, and hence produced the products with the help of Indian manufacturers. She drew inspiration from the rich culture of India, and inculcated that art in her detailed designs. The signature style of the brand is a dress which is made of light weight fabric and is embellished with intricate embroidery. The tone of whole outfit comes out as breezy, comfortable and feminine. Hannah does not have a muse for her designs as she designs for a global woman and hence, the collections are majorly universal with inspiration sourced from several places. 

The label got attention of the public without spending much energy on marketing, because of their unique designs and the affordability. The brand was available online at several reputed websites, and later they launched their own website.  The brand's approach was highly  entrepreneurial  as they made everything from scratch including searching for fabrics and threads together in the Indian markets. Their first collection was launched at ASOS with the highlights of it being minidresses party wear dresses with summery vibe. The collection was sold like hot cakes in a few days, and the team had to restock it again. They even launched bridal wear collection a few years later the foundation. The average price of bridal wear ranges from  650 to $900. Further, the brand promotes little to no waste and is 70% sustainable, and it intends to improve further.
