Nanushka is a vegan brand, launched by Sandra Sandor, a woman born and raised in Budapest. She graduated from London College of Fashion in 2005 and launched her signature label in 2006. The brand was growing slowly and did not receive much attention in the market until 2016. Sandra's long time partner, Peter Baldaszti, joined the company as CEO and co-founder in 2016, and helped the company to upwards and onwards since then. Under the supervision and leadership of Peter, the label got attention in media and consequently allured investors too. Sandra was proficient in creating designs but was not an entrepreneur at heart, and hence Peter's contribution has helped the label to understand the market and customer better. 

Nanushka was a dream for Sandra, which she envisioned in her teenage. She drew inspiration from her mother, who ran kids wear label and often had Sandra as the kid-model for her designs.  Sandra claims that she designs for an intelligent human who is modern and stylish. Her first collection consisted of apparel with confident ease and subtle femininity. The Budapest based designer clashes cultures of the west and east in her collections. She enjoys playing with designs and occasionally fuses traditional elements with modern context. The designer loves to travel to new places and meet people at ground level to enhance the understanding of their culture. Sandra is also planning to release their own Seeker Magazine, where they could share their travel experiences, food, culture and photography.

The creative designer of the brand believes essentially in high functionality and practicality in the designs. The clothes are manufactured in Europe with fine and meticulous craftsmanship. Nanushka's products are delivered to several retailers across 30 countries and the whole collection is showed at New York Fashion week. Surprisingly, the brand was started on a very small scale, in the garage of Sandra's parent's house. The name of the brand was also influenced by Sandra's childhood. Her father called her Nanushka and the designer thought to use this as her brand's name. It is evident that a lot of angles of this enterprise is influenced by Sandra's childhood.  

The brand grew popular among people and several celebrities from Gigi Hadid to Charlize Theron were wearing it. Currently, Nanushka has become a coveted brand among Instagram influencers, due to its leather outlook garments and uniquely styled basics. The comfortableness and the practicality of the garments are most sought after by any customer, and this brand offers it with modern designs. Furthermore, the ethics of the label are also appreciable. The whole label is vegan and sustainable; they upcycle clothes and minimize waste. Veronica Pravato, the sustainability manager of the label keeps tabs on the whole process of manufacturing of the vegan leather. The Budapest designer confesses that even though their leather is not entirely environment friendly but it is one third better than the animal leather. Sandra also assures that the company is constantly improving to make the leather entirely environment friendly. Recently,  Nanushka launched their new collection for 2020, inspired by Mediterranean aesthetics with pastel and earthy hues.
