Douchebag has came out to be a very unique and a fun name for a fashion brand. The name " douchebags" was conceived and then dismissed in an early brainstorming session. Then Jon( the owner) asked his audience what the company should be named as and that was when the name "douchebags" came up again and again . What was wonderful about this name was that it was irrelevant and hence brought a sense of playfulness to the otherwise polished branding. With one chance to succeed the brand knew that they had to be memorable among the customers and need to set a mark in the fashion market with the uniqueness and then with much debate they finally agreed on the name " Douchebags".

Jon Olsson and Truls Brataas the two had only just met and on the surface they were very distinct from each other. Jon was a dashing freeski legend who was riding the early waves of the newly emerged platform of Youtube, whereas Truls was a heady entrepreneur who geeked out industrial engineering space travel and astrophysics. Despite the vast differences the pair shared mutual love for action sports, adventure and products . Truls had just returned from a year roaming on the earth and lamented the lack of premium luggage to carry his gear after a decade of lugging skis around the world, Jon accurately understood the pain point. After a lot of designing and sketching a lot of brain work a lot of rejected designs and ideas surveying upto 150+ athletes from all over travel adventures and ensuring that they were solving the real life problems , Douchebags was born and formulated in the year 2012. 

What Truce Brataas believed at the time was " It first starts with identifying the problems and then finding creative solutions to it."

The meticulous and sheer dedication to the details and outside the box thinking paid off the hardwork. They gear was a hit and douchebags was inundated for orders from a dozen of countries from all around the world . 5 star reviews and design awards was presented to them.

The headquarters of douchebags is situated in Oslo Norway with twelve employees . douchebags is also available on web in Europe, Canada and in some retail shops all over the world. Currently douchebags generates $5M in revenue.
