Anish Kapoor Works of Art:
As part of AstaGuru's upcoming Present Future auction of contemporary art, two of Anish Kapoor's most impressive sculptures will be up for bid.
Lot number. 17, dated 2005, is a beautiful bronze and lacquer sculpture by the conceptual artist that is making its debut at auction. It will be auctioned between 70,000,000 and 80,000,000 INR.
Lot number. 81 is one of the artist's noteworthy series of stainless steel reflecting discs. Depending on their finishes, the pieces in this series try to provide both a flawless and distorted reflection of what they reflect. This sculpture was produced in 2011 and measures more over 5 feet in diameter. It will be marketed at an estimated price range of 5,500,000 to 7,500,000 INR.
Anish Kapoor, who was born in Mumbai, India in 1954, completed his BFA at Hornsey College of Art and his MFA at Chelsea School of Art and Design in the United Kingdom. Since then, he has lived and worked in London.
