Reviving the Authentic Flavors of Goa: Goenchem Festival 2023 at Hilton Goa Resort

Goenchem Festival 2023 at Hilton Goa Resort

Candolim, North Goa, India, on April 26

The balmy sea wind, the sound of waves cascading on the shore, and the aroma of peppery and sour cuisine exemplify Goa's character. With the revival of the Goenchem Festival in 2023, the Hilton Goa Resort, in collaboration with The Goan Culinary Club, will revive the forgotten recipes of Goan cuisine. This celebration of vibrant culture and rich culinary heritage will be held at the Grand Ballroom and Banyan Lawns of the Hilton Goa Resort on April 29, 2023, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The Hilton Goa Resort is pleased to revive this festival with the intention of exhibiting the lost treasures and family recipes handed down through generations of Goan chefs. The festival is expected to be bigger and better than in the past, with a concentration on authentic Goan cuisine and delicacies as well as native cultural performances featuring traditional songs, dances, and thrilling sports.

Goenchem Festival Returns to Hilton Goa Resort with Delectable Food and a Cultural Extravaganza

The Goenchem Festival 2023, a celebration of vibrant culture and culinary expedition, will feature 15 stations from Goa's most renowned F&B outlets and hotels. Each of these stands will offer an assortment of Goan delicacies that will transport you to a culinary sanctuary. From flaky and savoury fish fritters (Fofos de peixe) to delectable pork and mussels (Porco Alejanto) and beef croquettes, the festival will feature the long-lost recipes of Goa that have been preserved by expert Goan home chefs and members of The Goan Culinary Club.

In addition, the festival menu will include desserts such as Bolo san Rival, Pineapple Sansav, and Dedos de dama, which will be prepared on-site to ensure a fresh and authentic flavour. Tarlyache Amotik, an acidic and fiery tamarind-based curry, and Bibe, a rich and scrumptious Goan dessert, are also available for visitors looking to spice up their taste buds.

Amandeep Grover, the general manager of Hilton Goa Resort,

commented on the occasion as follows:

"At Hilton Goa Resort, we are proud of our commitment to preserving the local cuisine and culture of Goa. We are thrilled to showcase authentic Goan cuisine with the support of The Goan Culinary Club and our local partners at the Goenchem Festival 2023, a celebration of Goa's rich culinary heritage. This year's festival will be an unforgettable experience for everyone."

Visitors to the Goenchem Festival 2023 can also immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of the state through performances of live folk music and dance, a fashion show, interactive games, and activities in the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Goa Resort.

To make the event even more thrilling, the festival has partnered with prestigious hotels and brands, such as The Fern Kadamba, The Fisherman's Wharf, Maai, LemonTree Hotels, Jambul, Vaum, Karma Kitchen, Love CH7, Yaki Zushi, Modern Hospitality Consultants, and Moyo, among others.

With a nominal entry charge of INR 699 (inclusive of taxes), guests can savour the authentic flavours of Goa and embark on a culinary adventure unlike any other.
