Explore The World's Largest Miyawaki Forest For Trail Running & Horseback Riding at Woods, Shamshabad

On December 4, 2022, Woods by Stonecraft and Aditya Mehta foundation (AMF), which helps persons with impairments participate in sports, will host a Trail Fest in Shamshabad.

Unique trail festival opens with 5k and 10k runs and 15k bike ride.

The run/ride is organised to recognise World Disability Day.

The participants of this unique trail festival run or bike through the world's biggest Miyawaki forest, situated in Hyderabad. Participants may appreciate the outdoors and the pleasure of reconnecting with the soil.

Woods @ Shamshabad, the biggest Miyawaki forest in the world spanning eighteen acres, is hosting the trail festival in Kavaguda. The event is structured so that attendees will not only be able to see the forest, but will also be able to breathe the unpolluted air. The event starts at 7:00 a.m. and is scheduled to last the whole day, with a variety of entertaining and engaging activities such as paintball, target shooting, etc. There will also be booths selling delectable and nutritious food and drinks.

The event is scheduled from dawn to sunset so that families may spend quality time in nature. There will be live performances by Best Kept Secret and other musicians.

Discussing the event Kirthi Chilukuri, the managing director of Stonecraft, said,

"Everyone must see the forest we created. This is attempted by the run. We want more and more people to be inspired by the flora that surrounds us. The trail run has been meticulously planned so that even novices may complete it."

The construction of Woods on sixty acres, which contains the eighteen-acre Miyawaki Forest, took two years. It has been shown that running on soil is superior than running on asphalt or concrete roads. Through this run, the founders of Woods also want to pay homage to the earth.

"Our modern lives are so fast-paced that we have practically lost connection with nature. Thus, this is one approach to reestablish a relationship with nature,"

;as Kirthi said.

Tickets are required, and registration for the race opens on November 26, 2022.
