Priyanka Gangwal, the Creative Director of the Fashion label PRIYANKA GANGWAL is from Mumbai, India and comes from a family which has a business as well as arts background. Her father is not only a businessman but also a painter and sculptor while her mother is a homemaker.
Because of her major inclination towards designing, Priyanka took up diploma courses in Mumbai right out of high school and started pursuing fashion design. She worked with renowned Fashion Designers such as Ana Singh, Neeta Lulla and Archana Kochhar as well as freelanced as a designer and stylist over the period of 3 years while completing her undergrad degree majoring in Arts.
Due to her love for art, design, fashion and learning, she decided to learn and understand the international market and hence enrolled for Masters of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from Academy of Art University, San Francisco. After her post-graduation, she moved to New York and assisted American Fashion couturier Anne Bowen for a year as a senior designer. She assisted the designer over Bridal Couture 2014 and spring/ summer 2015 Eveningwear collections. When she felt she was ready to launch her own clothing line, she moved back to India.
