TUMI & McLaren Are Broadening Their Luxury Travel Portfolio

Luxury luggage makers TUMI and McLaren are expanding their product lines.

TUMI, headquartered in Edison, New Jersey, is the top travel and leisure company in the world. They have just released a new line of products designed in collaboration with British luxury supercar maker and top racing team McLaren.

Along with McLaren's supercars, TUMI and its design teams have created a capsule collection that breaks all previous records for lightweight and performance.

CX6TM is a novel and flexible carbon fibre material that has been used to recreate essential pieces from the present collection. CX6TM is a premium, high-performance fabric designed with exceptional qualities that make it an abrasion-resistant material that helps preserve the integrity and lifespan of carbon fiber's charcoal-smooth surface.

The new colour scheme symbolises the core McLaren DNA, which is founded on a shared commitment to innovation, technology, and design; moreover, in the almost four decades since the company's founding, McLaren has not developed a single race car or roadcar without using carbon fibre.

The most current line include a Carbon and moulded Carbon Fibre expandable four-wheel carry-on with Tegris side panels, as well as a leather-trimmed Velocity backpack, Torque sling, and Quantum duffel.

On October 13, TUMI's newest additions to the TUMI | McLaren collection will become available on TUMI.com and at TUMI stores across the globe.

About McLaren Automotive:

McLaren Automotive is a manufacturer of high-end, high-performance supercars.

The McLaren Production Centre (MPC) in Woking, Surrey, England is responsible for the hand-assembly of each car. The firm was founded in 2010 and is presently the biggest member of the McLaren Group. The company's collection of GT, supercar, Motorsport, and Ultimate models are sold by more than 100 merchants in over 40 global countries.

McLaren is an innovator that always pushes the envelope. McLaren MP4/1 brought lightweight and durable carbon fibre chassis to Formula 1 in 1981.

The business then created and manufactured the McLaren F1 road car in 1993; it has not produced a vehicle without a carbon fibre chassis since. The McLaren P1TM, part of the Ultimate Series, was the first hybrid hypercar produced by McLaren. In 2018, it was reported that the Speedtail will be the next Ultimate automobile, which was unveiled in 2016. McLaren introduced the 600LT Spider, the GT, and the track-only McLaren Senna GTR in 2019. In addition to the 620R and McLaren Elva, the company introduced the 765LT the next year.

Most recently, the business introduced the McLaren Artura, a brand-new high-performance hybrid supercar. The Artura is the first McLaren vehicle to use the McLaren Carbon Lightweight Architecture (MCLA). The McLaren Composites Lightweight Architecture (MCLA) is conceived, developed, and built in the McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield, England, utilising world-first methods, and will lead the brand's electrified future.

McLaren Automotive also chooses to collaborate with world-class firms and organisations that push the limits of their respective industries. Included in this group are AkzoNobel, Ashurst, Bowers & Wilkins, Dell Technologies, Gulf, InfiniteWorld, Pirelli, Richard Mille, Plan International, and Tumi.

Regarding McLaren Group:

Focusing on its Automotive supercar and Racing divisions, the McLaren Group is a worldwide leader in premium automobiles and competitive racing.

The Group was founded in 1963 by racer, engineer, and entrepreneur Bruce McLaren. It consists of McLaren Automotive, which hand-builds lightweight supercars, and a controlling ownership in McLaren Racing, which competes in Formula 1 and INDYCAR.

The Group's worldwide headquarters are located in Woking, Surrey, England, at the renowned McLaren Technology Centre.

McLaren is one of the biggest independent corporations in the United Kingdom, with a reputation for technical innovation.
