The Phantom of the Opera Returns to Singapore in May 2025 at Marina Bay Sands

Base Entertainment Asia, in collaboration with The Really Useful Group and Crossroads Live, proudly presents the triumphant return of The Phantom of the Opera to Singapore’s Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands, beginning 9th May 2025.

A masterpiece of romance, mystery, and music, the world’s most iconic musical is set to mesmerise audiences once more in a strictly limited season.

A Haunting Legacy That Transcends Time

Back by popular demand after captivating Singaporean theatre lovers in 2013 and 2019, The Phantom of the Opera brings with it the grandeur, emotion, and spectacle that have defined its historic run on stages across the globe.

Adapted from Gaston Leroux’s 1910 literary classic, the story unfurls within the opulent halls of the Paris Opera House, where a masked genius, shrouded in darkness and desire, falls hopelessly in love with the gifted soprano Christine Daaé. As music, obsession, and fear intertwine, the boundaries between genius and madness blur in a tale that continues to enthral every generation.

West End Luminary Ben Forster leads the cast in the titular role, joined by the luminous Grace Roberts as Christine. Together with an ensemble of 37 elite performers from the UK, USA, Australia, South Africa and beyond, this new staging promises a performance of global calibre.

A Phenomenon Beyond Borders

Since its legendary West End premiere in 1986 and Broadway debut in 1988, The Phantom of the Opera has enchanted over 160 million people in 195 cities and 47 territories, performed in 21 languages, and garnered over 70 major theatre awards. It became Broadway’s longest-running production in 2006 with its historic 7,486th performance.

This Singapore staging is directed by Rainer Fried (Associate Director), with Kristen Blodgette as Music Supervisor and Denny Berry as Associate Choreographer. Backed by Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary score, this production fuses theatrical innovation with timeless artistry.
