This innocent plant of enchantment inspired Anavila's line of silk cord sets and garden shirts for a breezy, effortless holiday spirit. The Nova ensembles include linen, satin, and zari accents. In addition, the collection has linen sarees in solid festive hues, unique plaids, stripes, and metallic shine. They are worn with blouses that have zari and intricate hand embroidery.
"I have spent years studying the delicate khatwa (applique) work of Santhali artisans. I recall hearing youngsters laughing as they raced about the hamlet, enthralled by the blooming bougainvillaea, which they named Kagaj Baha. These recollections usually bring a smile to my face and remind me of life's simple joys. I wanted to imbue this celebratory collection with the same feeling of excitement and awe that the bougainvillaea brings to every space by filling it with dazzling imagery."
