Project Thunderball is the remarkable reaction of the firm to the electrification revolution sweeping the automobile industry. It combines the traits that make electric powertrains so remarkable with the distinctive characteristics of a Wiesmann. We have provided not just the world's first all-electric convertible sports vehicle, but also an all-electric sports car with Wiesmann-like performance.

EXHILARATING PERFORMANCE

The performance qualities of Project Thunderball are unquestionable. Twin electric rear-mid mounted motors deliver up to 500kW (680hp) and 1100 Nm of torque to the rear wheels, resulting in phenomenal straight-line performance and a targeted 0-62mph (0-100km/h) sprint acceleration time of 2.9 seconds, for an unrivalled exhilarating drive that the owner will never tyre of.

With a power-to-weight ratio of 2.5kg per HP, Project Thunderball's agility and handling are more than deserving of the Wiesmann badge despite its extraordinarily low weight of little over 1700kg (3747lb). Due to its state-of-the-art 800V high-voltage architecture delivering a maximum 92kWh battery capacity (83kWh available), Project Thunderball is designed to have a range of 500 kilometres.

The vehicle may be charged with its 22kW onboard unit at the owner's residence, or very quickly at a rapid charge public charger with up to 300kW DC fast charging.

Paddles located on the steering wheel provide instantaneous adjustment of the car's distinctive Wiesmann Intelligent Regenerative Braking System, using the benefits of Project Thunderball's superior electric engine to generate the signature Wiesmann driving sensation. Created exclusively for Project Thunderball employing some of the greatest technical experience in the industry, the system epitomises the car's concept of timeless design and style meets cutting-edge innovation, establishing a precedent for future improvements. With five different settings, the driver may alter the regenerative braking sensation of the dual electric motors to provide a forceful engine braking effect in bends, recharging the battery and allowing for optimal utilisation and little energy loss. In the true spirit of Wiesmann's 'Drivers' car' DNA, a change in setting provides the driver with a moment of deliberate delight, something missing in the majority of electric vehicles on the market today.

In another driver-centric feature exclusive to Project Thunderball, the charge display indicates the rate at which the vehicle is charging each kilometre, rather than as a percentage of the overall charge, enabling the driver to easily calculate the appropriate charge level for each route. Its integrated DC fast-charging technology enables simple and efficient recharging, while its AC and water-glycol-cooled battery is optimised for charging at high ambient temperatures.
