Marriott International recently revealed plans to launch over 30 luxury hotels in 2022 at the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) in Cannes, France.

With approximately 190 properties in the pipeline that includes 30 luxury hotels set to open in 2022 across multiple locations from Mexico to Portugal, Australia to South Korea, Marriott International is surely flying high.

The current lot of luxury travellers are transitioning from a 'box ticking' perspective to a 'travelling well' thought process. Their approach is now more holistic, mindful and well rounded in terms of their travel planning. This aspect has lead to luxury hotel brands like according Marriott International to take note and take actions towards fulfilling such aspirations of the new age luxury traveller.

The Ritz-Carlton - updates

In 2022, The Ritz-Carlton, a very popular luxury hotel chain, is set to launch The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie in Arizona, as well as The Ritz-Carlton NoMad in New York City, where accommodations will feature city views.

The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne will help the brand increase its presence in Australia.

Additionally, the Ritz-Carlton Reserve is set to open its sixth estate in Jiuzhaigou, China.

In the coming year, extensive improvements are scheduled at The Ritz-Carlton, Moscow, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, and The Ritz-Carlton, Naples.

As per details shared by the company The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is set for a debut around May 2022.

Founded way back in 1904, Luxury hotel chain St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has confirmed its expansion plans in the Middle East in 2022. The launch of two vibrant luxury hotels in Middle East including The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island and The Pearl in Qatar will surely set the ball rolling.

Elsewhere, the hotel brand is launching in Chicago, with a luxury hotel designed by Jeanne Gang - an American architect and the founder of Studio Gang.

2022 will also witness the launch of The St. Regis Kanai Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico, and a delightful luxury property with ocean views from almost every angle.
